  • Tie a warm towel or a hot water bottle around the aching area for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, this relaxes the muscles and increases blood supply.
  • If you feel swelling, then use a cold pack in its place for the same duration.

Replicating this two to three times a day can make a huge difference. It is a simple and safe home treatment during pregnancy.

Soak in Epsom Salt

Immersion of tired legs in Epsom salt water reduces inflammation and muscle cramping.

  • Add 1–2 cups of Epsom salt to a bucket or tub of warm water
  • Submerge your feet and lower legs in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes

Leg Pain during Third Trimester – A little massage can wonders at relieving leg pain during pregnancy.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Apply a little coconut oil, or blend a few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil, both are safe during pregnancy.
  • Pamper yourself gently in circular motions for a good 10 to 15 minutes, focusing a little more on any achy areas.

This can increase blood circulation, soothe fatigued muscles, and even get you sleeping better at night.

Turmeric has natural anti-inflammatory properties and can help alleviate leg pain from the inside, or even from application on the skin.

For external application:

  • Combine a little turmeric powder with warm coconut oil and make a paste.
  • Gently apply it to the painful site and leave it for around 30 minutes and then wash off.

  • Mix ½ tsp. Turmeric powder in a cup of warm milk and drink before bedtime

Leg Pain During Third Trimester – Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

Leg Pain during Third Trimester ACV can relieve leg pain if used in moderation, either internally as a beverage or externally on the skin.

To take internally:

  • Balance 1 tablespoon of ACV in a glass of warm water and drink it daily.

Note: If you have heartburn or other gastrointestinal issues during pregnancy, your best bet is to talk to your physician before incorporating ACV into your regimen.

To use topically:

  • Equalize equal amounts of warm water and apple cider vinegar. Soak a towel in it and apply it gently to the painful region for 10–15 minutes.

Lifting your legs will ease swelling and ensure proper blood flow, particularly during the third trimester when pressure on the lower extremities intensifies.

How to do it:

  • Rest comfortably and put a couple of pillows beneath your legs so that they’re above heart level.
  • Lie in this position for roughly 15 to 20 minutes, two to three times daily.

This easy position can relieve pressure on your veins and alleviate fluid accumulation in your legs.

Ginger Tea for Inflammation and Pain

Ginger is a natural painkiller that can be safely consumed in moderation during pregnancy.

Instructions:

  • Simmer slices of fresh ginger in water for ten minutes.
  • Strain and consume twice daily
